Jordan Terrel Blaylock-Smith, 24, of Cody, died on Aug. 20, 2016.

Jordan was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, weighing 3 pounds, 2 ounces, on Sept. 13, 1991, to Donna Charlene Blaylock and Calvin Benard Smith.

Jordan moved to Cody when he was 2. He went to school in Cody until his senior year when he moved to Meeteetse to finish high school, where he was welcomed and mentored by Tom Klomperens, and Rob and Deb Newkirk.

Jordan was an outstanding athlete, excelling in baseball, football, basketball and wrestling. From an early age, Jordan loved to fish, hunt, and shoot skeet with his grandfather. He loved his time in Shell, branding and spending time with Frank, Caety and Jackson Schmidt.

Jordan was a defender of anyone who was bullied, and had a compassionate and loving heart.

Audrey Higbie and her son Dominic Cade were the loves of Jordan’s life. He was a wonderful doting father to Dominic and loved him unconditionally. Dominic was the light of his life.

Having been so close in age, Jordan and his brother Andrew were inseparable. He and his sister Alexis had a special bond.

Words cannot express how Jordan will be missed. The bond between Jordan and his mother was as close as two people could be. They had a true and genuine love and respect for one another.
