Christine Fairbourn died July 2, 2016. She was 26.

Christine was born April 12, 1990.

She graduated from Lyman High School and attended both Utah State University and Bridgerland Applied Technology College in Logan, Utah, receiving her certification in veterinary technology.

She loved the outdoors and working with animals, especially her dogs Rainy and Roper. She has been employed in vet clinics and on working ranches. She chose to serve an LDS mission to the California, San Bernardino Mission, where she loved the people and her companions.

Powell became her home away from home as she attended Northwest College. Soon she fell in love with the people of Powell and their families. She loved to serve in the LDS Institute Program and loved her roommates.

Christine was employed by Park County Weed and Pest and the George Family Dairy Farm near Cody. She loved the family dearly and her co-workers. Her most cherished time was serving as an ordinance worker in the Billings Montana Temple.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Marion and Laura Fairbourn, uncles Scott and Melvin Fairbourn and her grandfather John Howard Brinton.

Christine is survived by her grandmother Marian Brinton of Logan, Utah; parents Marla and Sterling Fairbourn of Lyman; sister and brother-in-law Laurel and Dan Jensen and their children Louis and Delaney of Logan; sister TraciAnn Fairbourn of Ogden, Utah; sister and brother-in-law Kimberly and Eric Welchman, and their son Deric of Mountain View.

She will be missed by many.

Words can’t express how grateful her loved ones are for the Powell and Bridger Valley communities, family and friends who have shared their grief and raised them up by sharing memories, time, food, funds, love and support. Christine’s smile is always with them.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Seventh Street in Powell.
