Jesse Dunn Estes died July 5, 2016, in Alex, Oklahoma. He was 37.
Jesse was born on Aug. 12, 1978, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Rita (Dunn) Estes and Glenn Wilson Estes. Jesse grew up in Dibble, Oklahoma, and Deaver.
His dad showed him how to weld at the ripe old age of 5. By age 6, Jesse convinced his dad to let him drive a tractor.
Jesse had worked as a welder and handyman. He had spent the last four years in Dibble.
He enjoyed building things. Jesse also liked to talk philosophy about life, and one of his favorite things to do was put a smile on someone’s face. He loved to laugh and make people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents Glenn E. Estes and Cleta Estes and maternal grandmother Florence A. Dunn.
Survivors include his mother Rita Estes of Dibble; daughter Grace Estes of Powell; stepdaughter Paige Farwell of Powell; two sons Jeremy and George Estes of Powell; maternal grandfather Carl Dunn of Chickasha; two sisters Jennifer (Luis) Hernandez of Dibble and Jillian Estes of Denver; niece Jillian Hernandez of Dibble; nephew Jayden Hernandez of Dibble; stepbrothers Freddie Vela, Chris Sheppard and Jessie (Mikey) Sheppard from the Fort Worth, Texas, area.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday July 16, at the Dibble Freewill Baptist Church in Dibble, officiated by Rev. Lewis Cox. Services are under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Jesse’s children meant the world to him, and it would be Jesse’s wish to help his children.
