JoAnne Kilness Curren entered eternal rest on Sept. 10, 2015. She was 66.
The second oldest of six children, JoAnne was a 1967 graduate of Powell High School. She continued her studies at Northwest Community College and in 1983 completed her degree in accounting at the University of Wyoming. She later received certification as a CPA.
JoAnne was employed as a CPA for agencies including the City of Aurora and Denver Health. She is remembered for her contagious laughter, her warm, generous spirit, and her beautiful gardens.
She is survived by her older sister Betty, two younger brothers David and Kevin, daughter Laurie, and granddaughter, the light-of -her- life, four-year old Ella.
A private memorial was held at Heritage Todd Creek Clubhouse in Thornton, Colorado. Donations may be made in JoAnne’s memory to the “newborns in need” program at Denver Health, a program for which she was passionate. Notes of sympathy may be sent to inmemoryofJoAnne@gmail.com.
