Maria Hernandez died April 14, 2016, in Kennewick, Washington. She was 79.
Maria was born in Powell on March 9, 1937, to Jesus and Victoria Hernandez.
Maria married Santiago Marquez in Powell, and the couple had three children.
She attended St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Powell.
Maria lived in Powell until 2011, and then moved to Kennewick, where she lived with her daughter, Emma Scorro Marquez.
Maria is survived by her sons James (Minnie) Marquez and John Marquez; daughter Emma Scorro Marquez; brother Jesse Hernandez; sisters Connie Hernandez and Louisa Gutierrez. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. May 27 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell, with burial to follow.
