Mary DeLeon of Powell died on Jan. 4, 2016, at the Spirit Mountain Hospice house in Cody. She was 75.
Mary was born Nov. 4, 1940, in Lovell to Pete and Thomasa Padilla.
On Nov. 29, 1958, Mary married Daniel DeLeon in Lovell, and the couple was married for 55 years. Daniel and Mary farmed on Heart Mountain for most of those years.
Mary was a loving wife to Daniel and mother to four children, Marguerite (Gary) Lynn of Powell, Daniel DeLeon Jr. of Powell, Raymond (Bernice) DeLeon of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and JoAnn (David) Adams of Grand Junction, Colorado.
Mary had 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was adored by all. Mary was a homemaker, and she gave of her life to everyone around her.
She loved to cook for everyone and made sure no one went away hungry. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, sewing, embroidery, crocheting and quilt-making.
Mary is survived by her husband, children, brothers and sisters, and all of her grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
