Dorothy “Dottie” L. Bigelow died on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Powell Valley Care Center. She was 90.
Dottie was born in West Springfield, Massachusetts, on July 24, 1925, to Henry and Emma (Turcotte) Austin.
She graduated from high school in 1945.
On Dec. 10, 1947, Dottie married Warren L. Bigelow in Las Vegas.
Over the years, Dottie lived in Harrison, Nebraska, Lusk, Laramie and Yuma, Arizona. She had lived in Powell since 2000.
Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, in 1995; son, Jeff, in 2007, and daughter-in-law, Robin, in 2013.
She is survived by her sons Jim (Becky) Bigelow of Cheyenne, Jay (Debbie) Bigelow of Cheyenne and Jerry (Laura) Bigelow of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; daughter Sandra “Sam” (Phil) Fulton of Powell; daughter-in-law Cindy Bigelow of Cheyenne; brother-in-law Gene Bigelow of Lakewood, Colorado; eight grandchildren: Noel, Cassidy, Ryan, Bonnie, Kevin, Kate, Jake and Kelli; and five great-grandchildren: Hudson, Chole, Ryelie, Audrey and Alyssa.
No services are planned at this time; a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Cremation has taken place.
