Amy Lee Cabre, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on September 27, 2015, at the age of 90.

Amy Lee was born on Easter Sunday, April 11, 1925, to OlaMae & John Rufus Davies in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Amy Lee grew up in Thermopolis with her mother and four sisters.

She married her high school sweetheart, Hank Cabre, on November 4, 1943, and they had three children: Val, Jack, and Zoe.

In 1960 Amy Lee and Hank moved to Powell, Wyoming, so that Hank could pursue his coaching career at Northwest College. Amy Lee worked for Dr. Kattenhorn, Dr. Balkins, and Dr. Deiss. During her 20 plus years at the doctors’ office, there were many baby girls born in the Powell Valley who were christened Amy.

Amy Lee lived in Powell for 52 years. She and Hank raised their kids and spent time together golfing, camping, fishing, and enjoying their grandkids.

After Hank passed, Amy Lee remained active in the Powell community. St. John’s Episcopal Church was her second family. She worked on the Altar Guild, sang in the choir, worked at the thrift shop, and was a Lector at Sunday services. Amy was also a member of P.E.O. and played in numerous bridge clubs.

Amy Lee was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Hank; beloved son, Jack; sweet granddaughter, Joslyn; and sisters, Millie (Bill) Albright, Helen Jones, and Jackie (Don) Woodley.

Amy Lee is survived by her sister, Sammie (Joe) McKethen; daughters, Val (Shigeki) Umemoto, and Zoe (Scott) Mayer; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Amy Lee lived her life with grace and dignity … always counting her blessings. She had a deep love for her family and truly cherished all of her friends. Amy Lee will live on in our memories and our hearts with her beautiful auburn hair, her keen sense of style, and her generosity of spirit.

Funeral services will be at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Powell, Wyoming, on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 1 p.m.
