Spencer M. Boone, 21, of Cody, died June 16, 2015, as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV/motor vehicle accident.

He was born Sept. 19, 1993, in Powell, the son of Michael and Jacque (Reiter) Boone. He attended Cody schools and graduated from Cody High School in 2012. Spencer attended Montana State University-Tech School in Billings, where he studied auto body and collision and was working at Finishing Touch Auto Body.

Spencer’s pride and joy was his white 1996 Chevy pickup. Spencer also loved spending time at Red Lake, where he could often be seen dirt-biking and four-wheeling or “pulling someone out” after they’d gotten stuck, or just smirking at them because they were stuck and he wasn’t. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need; he became an organ donor to assist in saving several lives.

Spencer celebrated his life to the fullest through his love for family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Jacque of Cody; a brother, Sterling; grandparents, Joyce Reiter and Dennis Bakke, Kenny and Leeann Reiter and Paul Boone; uncles and aunts Bryan (Beth Anne) Reiter and friend, Rory Reiter, all of Cody; Brenda (Trent) Sessions of Powell, Nicholas Krenning of Ralston, Jeff (Julie) Boone of Grand Junction, Colorado, Eileen (Charlie) Pattison of Sheridan, Gary (Jenni) Boone of Grand Junction, Sean (Emily) Reiter of Japan, Lauren Reiter of Atlanta, Adam Reiter of State College, Pennsylvania, and Kenny “KK” Reiter of Cody; his girlfriend, Kyndal McAnulty of Cody; his corgi, Bill, and several cousins and friends.

Spencer was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Boone, great-uncle Marlin Minske and great-grandparents, Willard “Whitey” and Violet “Vi” Minske.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Ballard Funeral Home in Cody. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Pastor Ron Garwood will officiate.

The family asks that you consider making donations to the Make a Wish Foundation.
