Carole Lea Blackburn

Carole Lea Blackburn died Saturday, April 25, 2015, after a brave, hard fight with thyroid cancer. She was 66.

Carole was born on Dec.16, 1948, in Butler, Pa., to Chester and Dorothy Poskey.

Carole moved to Wyoming with the love of her life, Randy, in 1971, and they celebrated their 35th anniversary earlier this month. 

Traveling, crocheting, knitting, reading and sharing time with family and friends were some of Carole’s passions. 

Carole always had a big smile and her laugh was contagious, she was always a joy to be around and made the very most of her life.

Carole is survived by her husband, Randy; sons Tad and Cory (Nicole) Beals; sisters Linda (Wayne) Marburger, Barbara (Lila) Eddy; nieces Teresa and Roni; nephews Layne and Ryan and many friends.

There is going to be a fundraiser for Randy, who is recovering from a stroke, on Saturday, May 2, at the Cody Auditorium at 6 p.m. A table in Carole’s honor will be at the benefit so people can pay their respects.

A memorial service will take place at a later date when the family can make those arrangements.

Donations can be made in Carole’s name to the Park County Library Foundation.
