David Lee Critchfield

David Lee Critchfield, a son, husband, father, brother and grandfather, died of a blood clot and complications in his leg on March 11, 2015, in Missouri. He was 55.

David was born in New York City at the New York General Hospital on July 17, 1959.

He graduated from Bozeman High School in Bozeman, Mont., in 1977. He enrolled in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Paratroop Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

David worked in construction most of his life. He was an excellent craftsman.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

David had a kind, caring and loving heart and good to everyone he met. If he could, he would help everyone in need.

He had an amazing sense of humor; it was enjoyable to hear.

David loved children and would get pleasure in teasing them.

David is survived by his mother Midge (Critchfield) Johnson of Powell; wife Susan; two sons Dustin (Fantasia) and Jared (Sarah); and daughter Ashley (Marshall) Williams. From these children, he had seven grandchildren: Landon, Peyton, Ryder, Idahlia Raine, Dexter and Falyn. He loved these children and his whole family dearly. They all live in Missouri.

David also is survived by his two sisters, Darcy Ann Critchfield and Deirdre Lisa (Dirk) Cozzens; brother Dwight Critchfield of Medellin, Colombia; and nieces Natalie Cook, Tahlia Robinson and Tessa Cozzens; nephews Luke, Seth and Sterling Cozzens.

His family will all cherish their memories of David.

His father Lee Critchfield, whom he loved so much, preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2003.
