Joyce Mittlieder, 89, of Powell died of natural causes at Powell Valley Care Center on Jan. 12, 2015.
Joyce was born in Glendive, Mont., on Nov. 20, 1925. It was there that she met the love of her life, Carl Mittlieder. They married in 1946 and were married for 61 years until Carl’s death in 2008.
Joyce said her biggest accomplishments were marrying Carl and raising her beautiful children, whom she loved dearly. She said she had no regrets and that her life was good.
Joyce is survived by her five sons, Clinton (Phyllis), Clayton (Darlene), Wayland (Karan), Duane (Kandy), and Clifton Mittlieder; three daughters, Carla (Dennis) Everling, Yvonne (Jon) Montgomery and Pamela (Mike) Karr; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services are planned for this spring and will be announced at a later date.
