Dave Osborne, 74, of Bellingham, Wash., died peacefully on Oct. 25, 2014. 

He was born June 17, 1940, in Flora, Ill., to James and Elaine Osborne.

Dave spent most of his childhood in Garland, where he developed a love for nature and fishing. He moved to Washington to work for Boeing in 1966 and later worked for the Cherry Point Refinery for almost 30 years. 

Dave loved children and animals and was affectionately known as “Super Dave” Osborne to many of his friends. 

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; children Brad (Cindy) Osborne, Brian Osborne, Nikkole (Kevin) Bell and Bryan (Leah) Martinson; sisters Nancy (Larry) Erstead, and Patti (Chaz) Travis, brother Tom (Alice) Osborne; grandchildren Josh (Tiana) Osborne, Jessica (Devin) Sweeney, Nathan and Adam Bell and Clayton Martinson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His infectious smile and kind heart will be missed by all his family and many friends. 

Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Whatcom Hospice. 

A celebration of Dave’s life was held at Westford Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 1. A reception followed.
