(July 3, 1955 - Sept. 27, 2014)

Tony Ray Walling, 59, died on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, due to complications of kidney cancer. He was at his home in Sanger, Texas, surrounded by his family.

Tony was born on July 3, 1955, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the third son of Randell and Jean Walling.

The Wallings moved to Casper when Tony was 7 years old. They then moved to Powell when he was 11, where Tony graduated from Powell High School in 1973.

Tony worked overseas, 28 days on and 28 days off, for many years in the oil trade. He later attended technical school and was then employed by Vinson Process Controls as a systems technician for the rest of his life.

On Feb. 14, 2004, he married Star Tina Harris in Decatur, Texas. They blended together their two families, and Star was the love of his life.

He loved his family and spent much of his time with his children and grandchildren.

Tony had just come home from a trip to Wyoming and Montana to see his parents and siblings. His wife and son, Bo, made this trip possible by renting an RV and transporting him over a 3,000-plus mile trip. His brother, Dick, drove to Wyoming so Tony was able to visit with them all.

Tony is survived by his wife, Star of Sanger; parents Randell and Jean Walling of Powell (formerly of Wichita Falls, Texas); four daughters, Kristen Padilla of Brownwood, Texas, Sara (Marco) Zavala of Denton, Texas, Tiffany (Mike) Farris of Justin, Texas, and Ilana Black of North Richland Hills, Texas; two sons, Cody Walling of Sanger, Texas, and Bo Johnson of Walker, La.; four sisters, Freda (Jeff) Miller and Kim Asay of Powell, Tammy Walling of Bozeman, Mont., and Randi (Mike) Sue Slaughter of Casper, two brothers, Dick (Colleen) Walling of Wilderville, Ore., and Sammy Walling of Powell; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger with Rev. Dickie Amyx presiding over the services.

Coker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.cokerfuneralhome.com.
