(Aug. 16, 1965 - Sept. 6, 2014)

Rose Davis Wenstrom was born in Sheridan on Aug. 16, 1965. She was born to an Englishwoman and a cowboy, which shaped her entire life.

Rose was raised in Sheridan and Parkman. She married Kevin Gaskin in 1986, who enlisted in the Navy. To this union two beautiful children, K.C. and Grace, were born.

They were divorced in 1999. Rose became a single mother. Those years were both difficult and wonderful. In 2007 she married Don Wenstrom, who changed her life forever. To their marriage Lilian Rose was born. She was the joy of their lives.

Life was focused on family and love from that time on. Rose loved being a stay-at-home mom and was able to return to that vocation when she married Don.

Rose was always dedicated to her children during her years as a single mother. She worked around baseball and volleyball so K.C. and Grace could participate. They traveled all over the country to games. Rose put together the Deaver Festival, which brought bands, arts, food and much excitement to the community.

Rose was diagnosed with cancer in early July. There were many trips to Billings for treatment. The cancer took her life on Sept. 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the age of 49. Her loved ones’ hearts are aching. Rose was a beloved mother and wife.

Those wishing to donate to the Lili Wenstrom Benefit Fund can send memorial donations to First Banks of Wyoming in Lovell, Powell or Cody.

Rose is survived by her father Leonard (Diane) Davis of Sheridan; her husband Don Wenstrom; son K.C. Gaskin of Billings; and daughters Grace Gaskin of Ohio and Lilian Wenstrom of the family home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Lovell Community Center. Viewing/visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home and again one hour prior to services on Saturday at the community center.
