Tom Meredith, 69, of Cody, succumbed to his cancer on May 28, 2014, while being cared for and attended to at Spirit Mountain Hospice. He had struggled with ailing health for many years.
Tom was a father, soldier, outdoorsman, musician, Forest Service ranger and many other things to many people. He will be truly missed on this earth by those who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his mother Betty Inez Meredith of Cody and sister Sharon Peabody of Powell; son Troy Meredith of Casper and two daughters, Leslie Houston of Charlotte, N.C., and Teri Seedorf of Wellington, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Clara and Anna Seedorf.
His extended family Includes the Peabody and Braley families in Powell.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas B. Meredith.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held at Ballard Funeral Home on Monday, June 2.
A memorial fund has been set up in his name at Bank of The West.
