Shawn Golston, 53, of Cody, formerly of California, died from heart failure at his home on May 6, 2014.
Shawn was bigger than life. He made his wife Crystal’s circle of life complete. “God gave me a gift when I met my husband Shawn,” she said. “Even after 30 years, he made me feel like a bride.”
Taylor and Shane Golston were born to this marriage, and they were the light that shined in Shawn’s eyes. He welcomed each boy into the world with happiness and love in his heart. They brought him smiles as they would run into his arms after a long day’s work. When Taylor married his soulmate Nicole, Shawn’s heart beamed with pride.
When his first granddaughter Jordan was born, Shawn felt an overwhelming joy.
Shawn was a hard-working, loyal man and shared words of wisdom with sons: “Your word is your bond.”
Shawn was a guardian angel to his family here, and they will all miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Minnes Estes Jones.
Shawn is survived by his wife Crystal; sons Shane Golston of Cody and Taylor (Nicole) Golston of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; father Woody (Rita) Golston of Malvern, Ark.; mother Virginia (Gus) Pando of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; father-in-law Richard White of Cody; sisters Desirre Pando, Deanielle Pando and Shelly DeLeon, all of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; aunt Karen Brown of Topeka, Kan., nieces Brandy Pando and Gia Pando, both of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; and his precious granddaughter Jordan Noel Golston.
Memorial services will be held at Ballard Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15.
