Ken Hockley, 76, of Powell, died on April 30, 2014, of natural causes.

He was born June 2, 1937, to Leo and Helen Hockley in Cody. Ken was raised in Cody and attended the Cody schools, graduating from Cody High School in the spring of 1956. He played football, wrestled and ran track.

Ken was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, fish, hike, backpack, camp and the mountains.

He was married to Carol Reiter, and a son, Steve, was born to that union. They later divorced.

Ken married Georgia Kinghorn in Greybull. They were married until Georgia’s death in July 2013.

Ken and Georgia managed the WYO motel in Laramie while he completed his bachelor of science degree in education at the University of Wyoming.

During the time he and Georgia lived in Burlington, he serve one term as mayor.

Ken was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by brothers Marvin, Bob and Rick; son Steve Hockley of Saratoga; stepchildren Susan Monson of Fountain Green, Utah, Lana Housley of Utah, Kurt Kinghorn of Buffalo and Holly Rexroat of Wright; and many grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Burlington Cemetery.
