William ‘Bill’ Edward Schock

William “Bill” Schock died at Powell Valley Hospital April 10, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 76.

Bill was born March 23, 1938, in Billings, Mont., to Edward and Virginia Wright Schock. He married Betty Pryde on July 14, 1960, in Billings. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Bill owned and operated his own drywall business. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and four-wheeling. He was an avid musician and played with the original Pop-A-Tops band.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and his parents Ed and Virginia Schock.

Bill is survived by son Mark Schock (Pam Montgomery), daughters Karen (Bob) Nemitz and Sandy (Ray) Kelly, sister Donna (George) Monroe, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the Byron Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the Powell Elks Lodge.
