Mary Jane Meyers Jay died March 8, 2014, in Denver. She was 87.
She was born May 26, 1926, in Sterling, Colo. In 1929, she moved to Powell with her parents, Emma Belle Sailor Myers and Levi Myers, to be near her grandparents, William and Margaret Sailor.
She married Kenneth Jay of North Dakota in 1946. The couple moved to Renton, Wash., in 1955, and then to Commerce City, Colo., in the 1970s.
Mary Jane proudly worked as a motel maid until her retirement. She had a great sense of humor, loved animals, was generous and enjoyed keeping up with her many pen pals.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1975, siblings Margaret Stacy, Levi Myers and Nelley Coats.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth and Kenneth (Lonnie) and grandson Bruce Bergman.
