Fernando ‘Fred’ Trevino

Fernando “Fred” Trevino, 63, of Cheyenne, died Jan. 31, 2014, in Cheyenne after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 5, 1950, in Powell to Victoriano and Felisiana Joy Trevino. He worked as a landscaper, was a member of the Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 6 and the VFW in Powell. Fred was very proud to serve his country as a medic in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his mother Felisiana Joy Hoffman of Powell; siblings, Isabell Trevino of Powell, David Trevino of San Diego, Calif., Manuel Trevino of Billings, Mont., Christine Coats of Dallas, Texas, Henry Ramirez of Bridger, Mont., Ben Davila of Colorado Springs, Colo., his very special friends in Cheyenne, his bothers in law, sisters in law, and his many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Victoriano Trevino; stepfather Phillip Hoffman; and brothers Karl Hoffman, Felix Trevino and an infant brother David Trevino.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Karl Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o First Bank of Wyoming, Powell, WY, 82435.

Private services will be held.

Cremation has taken place.
