Pamela Bessler Bright, 54, of Laramie, died Jan. 13, 2014, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie.
Pam was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Tacoma, Wash., to Hugo Bessler and Janet (Davis) Bessler. Pam graduated in 1977 from Medicine Bow High with honors.
On April 15, 1978, Pam married Eddie Bright in Casper. To this union, two sons were born, Matthew and Michael. In Casper, Pam worked for Wyoming East Bank as a teller.
In 1987 the family moved to Ponca City, Okla., where Eddie worked for Conoco and Pam worked for First National Bank of Oklahoma as a vice president. Pam was in banking for 25 years. Eddie and Pam divorced in 1995.
Pam and Matt moved to Laramie in 2006. She was employed by the University of Wyoming, first in the University Bookstore, then as an accounting associate senior in the university’s IT department until the time of her death.
Pam is survived by her mother Janet Bessler of Laramie; her sons Matthew Bright of Laramie and Michael (Kyra) Bright of Ponca City; brother David (Patty) Bessler of Ponca City; and grandchildren Ethan and Addison Bright.
Pam was preceded in death by her father Hugo Bessler in 1994, her grandparents Felix and Nannie Bessler, Harold Davis and Geri Davis; her cousin Fred Gillett, Christine Bessler, Joe Bessler; aunts Grace Summers, Lucille Heny and Rosemay Kupfer; uncles Jerre Garvin, Jim Bessler, Felix J. Bessler and Raymond Bessler.
Funeral services and burial will be at a later date in Powell. Cremation has taken place in Laramie at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.
