Wallace ‘Walley’ Glatter

Wallace “Walley” Glatter, 84, of Cowley, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at the Sheridan Manor.

Wallace was born on June 10, 1929, in Shelby, Neb., to Matthew and Marie (Skidmore) Glatter. He was the second of four children.

Wallace served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was a good carpenter and later worked as a farmhand for Paul Rodriguez for many years in Ralston.

He met Evelyn West in 1980. They were married June 15, 1984. He had two sons. The family lived in Ralston before moving to Cowley in 2007.

Wallace has spent his last days in the Sheridan Manor Home in Sheridan.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn; sons Ronald Glatter and Robert Glatter both of Shelby, Neb.; sister Phylis Nickels of Columbus, Neb.; brother Tom of Powell; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held for Wallace at a later date.
