Helen Keever, 85, of Cody, died on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at West Park Hospital.
She was born to Charles Kempf and Cora Mae Brunk in Arkoe, Mo.
Helen married Vernon Keever on Feb. 14, 1947, and they moved to Cody to start their new life.
Helen loved nothing more than being with her family. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and the light of life to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was involved in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and many charities and was a lifetime member.
Helen is survived by her son Elwin (Nina) Keever; daughter Linda (Dale) Ruskowsky; grandchildren Alan (Amy) Ruskowsy, Duane Ruskowsky, Pam McClendon, Shauna (Tracy) Keever, Mandy (Adam) Coates; great-grandchildren Jesse, Tucker, Ora, Adel, Madison, Sara and Rebecca; and great-great-grandchildren Caiden and Scarlette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cora Kempf, husband Vernon Keever and son Dale Keever.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Ballard Funeral Home with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Cody. A luncheon will follow at the Eagles Lodge. A visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
