Sidney Dale Shipman died peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 25, 2013, due to medical complications. He was 51.
Sidney was born Sept. 24, 1961, to Sidney “Gus” and Oma “Dee” Shipman in Powell.
Powell is where he grew up with his sisters Peggy, Donna and Norma Jean, and where he lived most of his adult years.
Sidney was preceded in death by his parents; sister Norma Jean Herd; and nieces Sandra Dee Norris and Chancey Ulmer.
Survivors include: sisters Peggy Norris, Donna McIntosh; and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, one great-great niece and one great-great nephew.
No services are planned. A family observance will be held.
