Murriel Jean Paul Humphreys died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Powell Valley Healthcare. She was 85.

Murriel was born July 31, 1927, to Milred Grace (Bader) and Earl Lee Paul in Mills.

Growing up, she attended schools in Garland and Powell.

She married Floyd E. Watts on May 29, 1946, in Red Lodge, Mont., and the couple later divorced. Murriel married Donald Humphreys on June 5, 1978, in Cody.

Murriel was a housewife and enjoyed being a mother to four children, three daughters and a son.

Her hobbies included knitting, cooking and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; three sisters, Alice Gifford, Ione Sutherland and Mary Dillon; three brothers, Arden Harvard, William Paul and Myron Paul; one son-in-law; and two nephews.

Murriel is survived by her son Billy (Sue) Watts of Billings; daughters Nancy (Frank) Probert of Douglas, Colleen LeFebvre of Huntley, Mont.; Kim (Mike) Fulton of Billings; brothers Archie Harvard of Worland and Ernie (Jeanne) Paul of Powell; sisters Dorothy Boyd of Fort Collins, Colo; Claire Frattz of Alameda, Calif., and Rae Leslie of Alameda, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.
