(April 27, 1963 - June 25, 2013)

Jeff Hincks died June 25, 2013, at the Cody hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer with the love of his life and close friend, Cheryl Glidden, by his side. He was 50.

Jeff was born April 27, 1963, to Floyd Ole Hincks and Rita Jean (Nield) Hincks of Afton. After living in Afton and going to school, he moved to Cody and started welding for Northstate. Later, he moved to Powell where he was an excellent welder, enjoyed his work and many friends, especially Ron Miller.

Jeff was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed fly fishing, tying flies, four-wheeling, camping, hunting, golfing, smoking meat, guns and trying to teach Cheryl the art of fly fishing.

He was a very generous friend to so many. He enjoyed going to the American Legion, which he supported, and had great people to tell tall tales to. He spent a lot of time visiting with them and he will be missed dearly.

Jeff is survived by his brothers Steve and Rafael Hincks; sister Karen Jane Stocker; two very dear friends from Afton, Bart Casssidy and Jeff Reeves, along with his closest friend and pal, Ron Miller; not to mention his bride-to-be some day, Cheryl. They enjoyed their short time together fishing, camping, four-wheeling and their little home, which came with their sweet dog, Taser. For those who knew Jeff, they loved him for who he was.

There will be a service for Jeff at the America Legion, 143 South Clark in Powell, on Tuesday, July 2, at 10 a.m. with a luncheon following. Memorial contributions may be sent to Cheryl Glidden.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and condolences may be sent to the family at www.thompsonfuneral.net or P.O. Box 807, Powell, WY 82435.
