Sandra L. Wolf

(April 8, 1940 - June 13, 2013)

Sandra L. Wolf, of Cody, died peacefully at West Park Hospital on Thursday, June 13, 2013. She was 73.

She was born in Evanston, Ill., on April 8, 1940, to Rex and Louise Maclear Gay. Sandra moved to Colorado in 1960. She was a professional barrel racer, horse trainer and a true cowgirl. Sandra had a passion for the outdoors.

In 1999, Sandra moved to Cody to retire in the beautiful Big Horn Basin. She was active in her bridge group and as a volunteer at Buffalo Bill Dam, the gift shop at the hospital and at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. She loved animals, especially her dogs, Bear and Fergie.

Sandra will be missed by many friends, whom she loved deeply.

She is survived by her son Lance (Kym) Wolf of Fort Collins, Colo.; granddaughter Talon Wolf; best friend Monroe Snider; and three cousins.

Memorial services will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at Sandra’s house on 2314 Cedar Lane in Cody. All of her friends are invited to join in celebrating her life.
