Angelita Gonzales Carrasco

(June 30, 1949 - June 5, 2013)

Angelita Gonzales Carrasco died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Cody. She was 63.

Angelita was born in Powell June 30, 1949, to Josefa Ramirez and Encarnacion Gonzales. She received her high school education in Powell. Angelita married Jesus P. Carrasco March 27, 1972, and they resided in Powell.

Angie loved her family and always made sure of their well-being. She belonged to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the congregation was important to her. She loved to shop, cook, decorate her house and take rides around town, stopping to get sodas to quench her thirst. She enjoyed familly gatherings, listening to her iPod and watching Spanish novelas. Her stories about her family and singing to her children will be greatly missed.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents and other family members.

She is survived by her husband Jesus P. Carrasco; sons Jess Carrasco  and Paul Carrasco, both of Powell; daughters Anel Carrasco and Julia Carrasco, both of Powell; brother JR Gonzales; sisters Lupe Cortez of Powell and Josie Gonzales of Denver, Colo; and six grandchildren: Jesus Daniel Carrasco, Matthew Carrasco, Mark Carrasco, Joseph States, Jesse States and Jessie States.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2702 Cougar Ave., in Cody with dinner to be held at 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Powell.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and condolences may be sent to the family at or P.O. Box 807, Powell, WY 82435.
