Margaret Frances Woodward, 94, of Cody, died peacefully at West Park Hospital Long Term Care Center on Thursday, May 16, 2013.

Margaret was born Jan. 5, 1919 to Joseph and Anastacia Stetson in Minneapolis, Minn., where she spent her early childhood. On Feb. 22, 1942 she married James Woodward, Sr. From that union they had two children. They remained living in Minneapolis until July 1999 when they relocated to Cody.

Margaret was active at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Cody, as well as the Friends of the Library, the Singles Club and several other organizations around town. She spent her last year living at Absaroka Assisted Living. Margaret was always on the go. Everyone would see her about town usually in a restaurant where she loved to eat.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents, and her sisters Carole and June.

She is survived by her two children Jim (Alice) Woodward of Cody, and Ann (Jack) Brubaker of Ahwahnee, Calif. She also is survived by four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and her brother, Bud Stetson of Eugene, Ore.

Rosary services will be held at The Church of St. Anthony in Cody on Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 24 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
