Josephine Terzino, 95, of Cody died peacefully at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
Josephine was born in Nusco, Italy on March 7, 1918 to Maria Angelina and Michel Della Vecchia. When she was 18 years old she came to America to Latrobe, Pa., and was raised by her aunt Christine and her beloved uncle Ralph Passaro. With his loving heart he walked her down the aisle in her marriage to Carmen J. Terzino. To this marriage was born one daughter, Joanne.
Josephine moved to Florida in 1963 where she resided until 2007 when, in her late years, she came to Wyoming to be close to her daughter. She loved people and they loved her as well. She always had a bright smile for everybody and a cheery, uplifting spirit. She touched so many people’s lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt Christine and uncle Ralph Passaro; husband Carmen J. Terzino; niece Nancy Uriah; brothers Amato “Mike” Della Vecchia and Anthony Cotti; and sister Annette Brownfield.
Josephine is survived by her daughter Joanne (Joseph) Peller; special friends Dorothy Napier, Sue Goldberg, Jane Kellerher, Karen Hastings, Debbie Zylberberg; nieces Dianna Della Vecchia, Rosalie Soffoleta, Christine Reiss and Eleanor Ziter; and nephews Hon. Michael A. Della Vecchia and Tony Cotti.
The family will hold a celebration of life at the Clark Recreation Center in early summer.
