Michael Lee Eversole of Powell, beloved father of Jordan, Kylea, and David, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was 35.

Mike was born July 24, 1977 in Denver, Colo., to David Eversole and Sherrie Wegner. He spent most of his life in Colorado and the last couple of years in Powell.

Mike was an incredibly talented, humble, caring father who loved to have fun. Throughout high school he was a star athlete and played baseball, basketball and football, but enjoyed playing basketball the most.

After graduating from Rifle High School in 1995, Mike briefly attended Northwest College in Powell and ITT Technical Institute in Denver.

Mike was a valued employee at Americas Best Value Inn in Powell. His renovations to the hotel are the perfect example of his ability and pride of workmanship.

Growing up in the Rockies, he loved the great outdoors. Mike enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers and snowboarding among many outdoor sports. Mike enjoyed life to the fullest.

Friends and family gravitated toward his loving personality and fun sense of humor. What he loved and cherished most in life was family, especially his three wonderful children. Mike wanted to be the best father he could be and was so proud of his kids.

He was so kind when caring for his grandparents in Powell, as his grandpa battled cancer. He was always there for family and made it a point to be part of his sister’s life no matter how far away life brought her.

He will be missed by everyone, but his family takes comfort knowing he is in heaven with friends and family waiting.

He was preceded in death by his father David, stepfather James, grandfather Ed, and Uncle Paul.

His grandfather, Moose, died April 12 in Powell.

He is survived by his three beautiful children; mother Sherrie Wegner; sister Alicia Fabbri and her husband Adam; grandmother Sue; grandmother Lee Wegner; cousin Bridget Eversole; ex-wife Jaela Riegel; as well as other relatives and friends.
