Edith Blackstone

Edith Blackstone, of Cody, died at West Park Hospital Long Term Care Center on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013. She was 90.

Edith was born Oct. 28, 1922 in Forsythe, Mont. to Hugh and Mary Taylor Lennon. She graduated from Three Forks High School in Montana as valedictorian.

She moved to Cody with her family in December 1954. She met Charlie Blackstone at the Hoodoo Ranch and they were married in November 1955.

Edith was very sharp with numbers and did bookkeeping for various companies including Husky Oil.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Blackstone of Cody, brother John Lennon of Merced, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary services will be held at The Church of St. Anthony in Cody on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the church on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cody.
