Miriam D. Anderson (McCoy), 96, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at West Park Hospital Long Term Care Center in Cody. Her son, whom she had been staying with, was by her side when she died.

Miriam was born in Trenton, N.J., on Aug. 26, 1916. Before and during WWII she worked at Loft’s Candy in Trenton and Hoffman’s Cards in Hamilton, N.J., and was a member of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church of Hamilton. She was also a Charter Member of The Nottingham Squares, a senior citizens group. She was a resident of the Trenton/Hamilton area in New Jersey all of her life.

Miriam was married to C. Franklin Anderson on June 14, 1941 and was preceded in death by him and her brother Donald McCoy.

She is survived by her son F. Dean (Terry) Anderson of Cody, a retired Lieutenant with The Hamilton Twp. Police Dept.; grandchildren Raymond T. Anderson and Nadine T. (Mark) House, Cory, Brendon and Dylan House, all of Hamilton, N.J.; brother-in-law Wayne (Barbara) Anderson of Hamilton, N.J.; sister-in-law Marion McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation services have taken place through Ballard Funeral Home.
