Deanna Ruth Walker died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at the age of 50, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Deanna was born May 5, 1962 in Great Falls, Mont., to Bud and Nita Bronkema. She moved to Lovell with her family in 1963 when her dad took a job at the Radar Site. She graduated from Lovell High School in 1980 and attended two years of college. She married Steve Green and they had two sons, Stephen Casey in 1982 and Thomas Jeffrey in 1984. They later divorced.

Deanna married Kevin Walker, her best friend and companion, on Oct. 24, 1998.

Her son T.J. married Tawni Hubbell and they had three beautiful children, Chelsi Taylor, Kade Thomas and Trevin Matthew. They have been the joys of Kevin and Deanna’s lives.

T.J. went to mechanic school in Sheridan and now works at Bentonite Performance Minerals in Lovell. Tawni was the daughter Deanna always wished for.

Casey graduated with an associate’s degree in Powell. He then joined the National Guard. Between two stints to Iraq, he was able to finish his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is now a CPA and works for MTP&C in Laramie. She was so proud of both of her boys and loved them dearly.

She was preceded in death by grandparents John and Martha Bronkema and Simeon and Minnie Williams; mother Nita Bronkema in 1987, and father Bud Bronkema in 2011.
