Raelee M. ‘Lee’ Easton

Raelee M. “Lee” Easton died at Sunshine Rehab Gardens in Spokane, Wash., on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. She was 84.

She was born Aug. 12, 1928 at Sheridan, the daughter of A. Ray and Talitha M. Easton. When she was 2, she moved with her parents to Powell. Lee attended schools in Powell, where she graduated from high school in 1946. She then attended and graduated from the University of Missouri. Following graduation, Lee went to work for a furniture store in Helena, Mont., as a bookkeeper. In 1956, she transferred with the company “Self Service Furniture” to Spokane, Wash. She retired after 44 years, as the office manager.

She was a past president of Spokane Credit Women and also of the Spokane Valley Soroptimist Club. She was a member of Eastern Star and The Ladies of the Oriental Shrine.

Survivors include one brother, Don C. Easton of Powell; two nephews and two nieces and many grand nephews and nieces.

Memorial donations can be made to the Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana St., Spokane, WA 99217.

By her instruction, no services are planned at this time. A memorial will be held in the spring at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.
