Myra Leon Johnson Morris died peacefully at the Powell Valley Care Center in Powell on the evening of Nov. 8, 2012. She was 91.
Myra was born on Dec. 6, 1920 in Burlington to Levi and Olive Dustin Johnson. She was the fifth of 11 children.
Her siblings were Levi Merle, Iva Jane, Erma Olive, Leonard Dewey, George Walter, Ruth Marie, Carl Elbert, Chauncey Dustin, Laura Gertrude and Bernard Russell.
She attended and graduated from high school in Burlington and graduated from beauty school in Ogden, Utah.
She was married to Leslie A. Morris on Dec. 15, 1940 in Burlington. Five children were born to Leslie and Myra: Buerma Lee Morris Edwards Lynam, Robert Leslie Morris (Lana), Carl Dean Morris (Sheryl), Kenneth Leon Morris, and Leroy Dustin Morris (Sheri).
Over the years, they resided between Manderson and Worland, near Shell, near Greybull and near Cody. Myra had 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 with family present. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the LDS Church, 1026 Ave. E in Powell with burial to follow in the Burlington Cemetery.
