John was born on Dec. 6, 1940 to Homer and Marjorie Mann. He attended school in Powell.

His family will always remember his fun, creative way with his many electronic experiments. He rigged a private phone system to talk to friends blocks away, wired a turntable to move backwards and fixed a television to turn sideways so he could watch it from bed, to name just a few of his youthful experiments. He was truly an electronic genius. He wired sound systems into many movie stars’ homes in California using his many electronic talents.

John is survived by his wife, Lupe; son, John Carl; daughter, Marjorie Barrara and her children, Carlos, Bret and Natalia (all of Los Angeles, Calif.); sister, Carla Danahey of New Mexico; and sister-in-law, Donna Mann of Powell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Marjorie Mann; and brother, Homer Corning Mann.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
