Barbara Patterson

Barbara Patterson died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at Powell Valley Care Center, at the age of 96.

She was born on Jan. 13, 1916 in Ashley, N.D. to Jacob and Salomina Sackman. At a very young age, her family relocated to Fallon, Mont.

She came to Powell to finish her schooling, where she met and married Mildon L. (Pat) Patterson. Their first home was on Willwood. They later moved into Powell. 

After Mildon returned from service in World War II, they homesteaded and lived on Heart Mountain. In 1979, they retired and moved back to Powell.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters, and six brothers.

She is survived by one sister, Magdelina Guidice; two daughters, Norma L. (Herb) Demoney and Mary J. (Gordon) Christensen; one son, M. LeRoy Patterson; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be at Union Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery following the service.
