Kay Ratliff Neilson died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at her home in Powell. She was 64.

Kay was born Jan. 20, 1948 in San Diego, Calif., to Gwendolyn (Roper) and Reagan Sherier Ratliff. She received her education at Davis Senior High School and Brigham Young University.

Kay and George Vern Neilson were married July 25, 1968 in the Oakland Temple, Oakland, Calif. They lived in Federal Way, Wash., and in Powell. Kay was a homemaker and belonged to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Kay was preceded in death by her brother William Reagan Ratliff, and her son Ammon Jacob.

She is survived by her husband George; son Benjamin (Andrea) Neilson; daughters Lyndi (Ganesh) Cherian and Nicole Neilson; brother Reagan Jr. (Catherine); sister-in-law Victoria Ratliff and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Powell. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
