Phillip Melroy Hoffman died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at Powell Valley Care Center. He was 80.

Phillip was born March 19, 1932 in Ogden, Utah, to Ida Shurtleff and Clarence Hoffman. He received his education through 12th grade in Rigby, Idaho. Phillip was a Korean War veteran from which he received four Bronze Stars. Phillip was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he enjoyed hunting.

He married Joy DeLeon (Felisiana) on April 29, 1966 in Cody, and they made their home in Powell.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ida Hoffman, and his son, Karl Hoffman.

He is survived by his wife Joy; step-sons Manuel Davila, Fred Trevino, Benjamin (Linda) Trevino, David (Paula Ann) Trevino, Lisa Trevino Cook; step-daughters Isabell Trevino, Chris (Rollie) Coats; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Karl Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o First Bank of Wyoming, Powell.
