Chairman McCray re-elected

In what turned out to be a six-person race, Powell selected from nine candidates two new members to join the Park County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees, along with its returning current chairman.

In roughly one month from now (date yet to be determined) the Tribune will publish its Holiday Health & Fitness edition.

All nine candidates for the Park County School District No. 1 school board participated in a public forum Oct. 18 in the DeWitt Student Center at Northwest College.

Dent injured as Powell drops consolation

The Powell High School volleyball team reached the 3A state semifinals before being sent to the consolation bracket and placing fourth overall this weekend in Casper.

The Powell High School swim team took 13 swimmers to the state meet in Gillette, with two making their final heats and the team finishing sixth overall with a score of 96.

The Powell High School volleyball team will begin its quest for a 3A state championship tonight (Thursday) in Casper.

The Panthers (5-1, 16-9) are seeded second in the 3A West division and will face Rawlins (3-7, 15-18), the third-seeded team in the 3A East division.


Last week someone brought up the subject of birthdays. I don’t remember why, but I only assume it was a calculated scheme to make me curl up inside my head to ponder my age and worth.
