Trappers begin season-long road trip 1-0-1

The Northwest men’s soccer team had two of its last three games called due to darkness as it enters the middle of a six-game road trip.


The Powell Panthers volleyball team protected its home court with a 3-1 win over the rival Cody Broncs Tuesday night.

The offensive help the Northwest women’s soccer team was looking is here, though it will be a couple weeks before the Trappers can fully reap the rewards.

The Powell Panthers football team continued to roll by beating the Buffalo Bison 45-6 Friday night.

For the second time in a week the Northwest Trappers volleyball team couldn’t finish what it started against a nationally ranked opponent.

The Powell Panthers volleyball team knocked off the defending Class 2A state champions Tuesday night in Powell.

Felicity Zegarelli’s first-set performance against Central Wyoming was forgettable, especially after she followed it with three sets of memorable and timely play that helped lead the Northwest Trappers to a win Tuesday night.

Game halted by lightning

Lightning crashed twice during Friday night’s Powell Panthers football game, once on the game’s first play, and again to end the game after three quarters of play.

The Powell Panthers volleyball team went 5-2 but failed to place after getting off to a promising start at the Mont./Wyo. Border War in Powell Friday and Saturday.

The Northwest Trappers volleyball team won the first set against the No.1-ranked squad in the nation but lost back-to-back matches for the first time this season in Rock Springs this past weekend.

The Trappers (5-5) were swept by the New Mexico Military Institute 23-25, 23-25, 14-25 Friday and then lost in four sets to No. 1 Western Nebraska Community College 25-23, 17-25, 19-25, 14-25 Saturday.
