Master facility plan will address reallocation of space, maintenance needs for next five years

Just four months after he came on board as University of Wyoming president, Robert Sternberg resigned Thursday, saying UW wasn’t a good fit for him.

A Northwest College student was seriously injured Tuesday evening when he fell out of the back of a moving pickup truck. He was flown to Billings by helicopter and remained hospitalized as of Thursday, said Sean Fox, NWC's vice president for student services.

Successful recruiting has brought six new medical providers to Powell Valley Healthcare, with that number increasing to seven in January.

It is refreshing to see progress in the Powell Economic Partnership Inc. After years of planning, visualizing and strategizing, the organization now is poised for forward movement.

 

Although Paul Cardwell has agreed to pay $3.5 million to Powell Valley Healthcare’s management company for embezzling from the organization, company representatives doubt Cardwell will be able to make good on the agreement.

It’s not a good sign when an organization’s chief financial officer must preface her monthly financial report with statements such as, “There are many obvious problems with this report. ... Note that the balance sheet is out of balance.

Although it’s disappointing, we understand and commend the Park County Commission’s decision to reduce its budget for a planned multi-use building at the Park County Fairgrounds.
