Anna L. Talbott

Anna L. Talbott of Riverton died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. She was 78. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2013.
Stars take to the stage Friday
Twenty-seven youth from Powell and the surrounding area will showcase their talents during the annual Stars of Tomorrow show Friday, Feb. 22.
The show is open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This year’s entertainment includes vocals, instrumentals, dancing and even a magic act, said Bruce Morse, who co-chairs the event for the Kiwanis Club of Powell.
Betty Louise Rockhold

Betty Louise Rockhold, 91, died Feb. 15 at Powell Valley Care Center.
She was born Aug. 6, 1921 at the Powell farm home to Frances (Bartels) and Otto F. Smith. She grew up on the farm a mile north of Star School, which she attended her first four grades. Consolidation of all rural schools meant the rest of her schooling was in Powell, graduating with the class of 1939.
Thomas A. Manka
Thomas A. Manka, 52, died Feb. 12, 2013 at his home in Powell. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday Feb. 21, at Thompson Funeral Home chapel in Powell.
Arrangements are being handled by Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory.

Raymond Leonard Mills

Raymond Leonard Mills, 86, died Feb. 15, 2013 at West Park Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Raymond was born Oct. 15, 1926 to Alfred and Ella Mills in Basin. He worked for the Hunt Oil Company and the TE Ranch, and he worked as a cow foreman at his favorite ranch, the Pitchfork Ranch, for 25 years.
Sandra Rae (Sage) Adams

Sandra Rae (Sage) Adams died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 in her home at the Manor on Marston Lake in Lakewood, Colo., after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 64 years young.
Ruth Neilson Hecht
(Sept. 4, 1913 - Feb. 11, 2013)
Ruth Neilson Hecht, 99, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta, Colo., where she had been a resident for the past five years. When her health began to fail in 2000, she moved to Denver, Colo., and eventually to Delta, Colo., to live with her daughter, Betty until she entered the care center.
Alma Jean ‘Cookie’ Williams Seeley

Alma Jean “Cookie” Williams Seeley was born in Green River on March 16, 1934 to William Henry Lewis Williams and Ellen Ann “Lala” Sloan. She died at her home in the arms of the love of her life, Walter Duane Seeley, Sr., on Feb. 10, 2013. She was 78.
Jessica Mary Wenstrom
(Dec. 25, 1933 - Feb. 11, 2013)
Jessica Mary Wenstrom died at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. She was 79 years old, and had lived in Deaver and Lovell since 2006.
She was born on Christmas Day, 1933, in Sidney, Mont., the first of 10 children of Jose Santiago “Jim” and Sarah Hernandez (Luna) Angel.

Temple Grandin speaks on autism and animal welfare Monday, Feb. 25, in Powell
One of Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” will be in Powell Monday, Feb. 25, to talk about the two things she’s most renowned for: autism and animal welfare.
Temple Grandin will discuss “Improving Animal Welfare: A Practical Approach” at 10 a.m. in the Nelson Performing Arts Center Auditorium on the NWC campus.
