Rex L. Tryon, 76, of Cody died on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at West Park Long Term Care Center.

Rex was born on May 21, 1936 in Sheridan to Clyde and Viola Tryon. He spent part of his childhood in Sheridan before Clyde moved the family to Cody where he graduated from Cody High School. Rex married his high school sweetheart, Ann Marie Ohlson, on April 6, 1956 and they celebrated their 56th anniversary this year. Rex and Ann made their home in Cody and raised four daughters.

A great cowboy, father, grandfather, brother and friend was lost when Rollin “Rolly” Thomas Trumbull died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at his home in Ralston. He was 76.

He was an “ol time cowboy” who could tame the toughest bronc, shoe the worst horse, pound a nail in the hardest wood and yet still tip his hat to every lady. He had the heart of a kind and gentle soul.

Wilma Jeanette McLaughlin Morris, 101, of Cody died Dec. 12, 2012 at the West Park Hospital Long Term Care in Cody.

Wilma was born in Sutton, Clay County, Neb. on Feb. 5, 1911 to Murray Glen McLaughlin and Julia Cathrine McLaughlin. At the age of 4, the family moved to Basin where she attended the Basin schools through high school. She went to college in Kearney, Neb. and earned a degree in Library Science.

Forrest Dale “Frosty” Cordes died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at the Spirit Mountain Hospice in Cody. He was 87.

Funeral Mass services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, 115 E 3rd St. in Powell.

Heber H. Hart died peacefully at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. He was 71.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is planned for Thursday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Powell.

Mary Elizabeth Nielsen, 94, of Cody, died Nov. 25, 2012 at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House.

Mary was born in Cody on Nov. 29, 1917 to Jens Peter and Jacobine Martinsen Jensen. She attended grade school on Monument Hill and high school in Cody where she graduated salutatorian. She married Senius Nielsen on June 13, 1937 in the yard of the house that eventually became their home. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in that same yard.
