Jay L. Asay died at his home in Frannie on July 26, 2014, due to complications of diabetes. He was 54.

Ralph Lew Parker, 73, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, surrounded by his family after battling a long illness.  

Maryrose Maus, 85, died July 14 2014, after suffering a sudden stroke, followed by a brief coma.

William M. Jackson, a longtime Powell resident and Heart Mountain homesteader, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Powell Valley Healthcare. He was 92.

John Henry Spargur died peacefully at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was 88.

Norman Lee Shorb, 85, of Billings, Montana who died March 21, 2014.

Peter Chidsey, 76, passed away March 6, 2014 at the Powell Valley Care Center Hospice Unit.

Sharon L. Bowers died in Billings on July 11, 2014. She was 69.

James Richard Stringer of Powell, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend and coach, died on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Powell Valley Hospital emergency room. He was 44.

Powell High School football coach Jim Stringer died suddenly Friday morning.

Stringer suffered an apparent pulmonary cardiac arrest at his home on Lane 9 1/2 in rural Powell, said Park County Coroner Tim Power. Emergency responders were called around 11:05 a.m. and Stringer was taken by ambulance to Powell Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Power said.
