Edna L. Myers died Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the Long Term Care Center in Cody, with her son by her side. She was 78.

Geraldine “Jeri” Pryde NeVille of Byron died April 5, 2017, after a short stay in the New Horizons Care Center.

James William Yockey, of Meeteetse, died at home April 4, 2017, under the care of Spirit Mountain Hospice of Cody. He was 93.

Edna Myers, 78, of Meeteetse, died at West Park Hospital’s Long Term Care Center on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Cremation services are pending with Ballard Funeral Home.

Justin Sage Harwood, 24, of Cody, died March 24, 2017, as a result of injuries in a motor vehicle accident. He is the son of Edward E. Castagne and Stephanie L. (Harwood) Henderson, born on Nov. 23, 1992.

25,852 elk harvested across Wyoming last year

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department predicted that the 2016 hunting season would be a good one for hunters, and that prediction rang true last fall: Wyoming hunters harvested the second-highest number of elk in recent history. Harvests were up for other species as well.
