Accreditation team gives NWC best evaluation in more than three decades

Comparing it to “winning a gold medal at the Olympics,” Northwest College President Stefani Hicswa said a recent accreditation report gave the college its highest marks since 1984.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go. You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.” 

After an off-season of hard work, Lady Trappers sophomore Mattie Creager was poised to expand her role on the team after playing sparingly her freshman year. The Weston, Idaho, native impressed head coach Janis Beal with her work ethic over the summer, and Beal was excited to see how Creager would progress.

Northwest College leaders are considering a series of proposals that would raise student fees.
