A single-car accident in Big Horn County has claimed the life of a Powell High School student.
Tylor Burke, a senior at PHS, died when his vehicle left the road at the junction of Wyo. 30 and U.S. 14-16-20 north of Burlington early Saturday morning. The scene of the accident was discovered at 7:13 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the initial report by the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Burke was northbound on Wyo. 30 when his vehicle drifted off the right side of the highway about 20 yards south of the junction. It continued across U.S. 14-16-20, going airborne when it hit the embankment on the north side of the highway. The vehicle went airborne twice more and rolled, coming to rest approximately 100 yards north of the highway.
Burke was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.
