Tour of homes Sunday afternoon

Tribune photo by Toby Bonner For the 22nd year, the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Christmas Tour of Homes in and around Powell.Eight families have opened their residences to visitors this year for the tour, which is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. Visitors may begin at any of the homes after 1 p.m. and tour at their own pace, finishing before 5.

Four of the homes are within the town of Powell, and four are located in rural Powell.

Families opening their homes in Powell include Ed and Denyce Reno-Ferguson at 174 S. Douglas, Dan and Lynn Bennion at 135 S. Greenfield Drive, Cheryl Ogren at 150 Clover Drive and Maynard and Evelyn Brown, who live in apartment 307 at Rocky Mountain Manor.

Rural Powell families entertaining for the tour include Mindy and Kelly Christensen at 1190 Hills Lane, Carl and Angel Olson at 1093 Road 6, John and Janet Porn at 1262 Road 9 and Freddie and Connie Onstine at 530 Lane 8 1/2.

Tickets for the tour are $10 per person and may be purchased at the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce office at 111 S. Day St. Maps and directions to the homes are available at the office as well.
